William Hill Advert Banned – How Dare They Advertise Their Product!

The most recent William Hill Casino advert has been banned from our television screens after it was deemed ‘too seductive’ by the UK ad regulator, mostly for linking gambling with sexual success.

If you haven’t already seen it, here’s the advert in question:

The Problem

Quite frankly, I think it’s an outrage that this advert was able to be on TV in the first place! How dare they try and make me enjoy an advert by showing me a croupier that demonstrates their product! Not only that, you can see her skin! They obviously need to rethink their ad campaigns because people definitely don’t want to see an attractive woman when they turn on the TV. If they were allowed to get away with that then it won’t be too long before we see dedicated channels to women acting seductively in front of a camera while the viewers call in to talk dirty (the scandal!).

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m not being serious. I think it’s more outrageous for the UK ad regulator to ban William Hill’s advert just because they used an attractive woman as their croupier (who also wears the same uniform as their live dealers). The advert was played only after the 9pm watershed, unlike some other betting adverts…

The Long And Short Of It

I met up with one of the few people who complained about the advert; I believe he chose to remain anonymous but I couldn’t tell since he was yelling at children to ‘stop being so young’. Here’s what he had to say:

“HOW DARE SOMEONE PUT THIS ON MY TV I DON’T WANT TO SEE WOMEN WHO ARE SHOWING FAR TOO MUCH SKIN I NEED TO GET THIS OFF THE AIR FOR THE SAKE OF THE CHILDREN WHO SHOULD BE IN BED BY THIS TIME ANYWAY”.

After that he started foaming at the mouth and babbled on about the government trying to steal our identities using a team of expertly trained gerbils. He gave me a free foil hat though. I like free stuff.

If you’re much more open to the idea of attractive female croupiers and think that William Hill was well within their right to advertise the fact that they have live dealers, you can show your support by signing up with them!
